For the third straight year, the Connecticut Lottery Corp. (CLC) reported contributing over $410 million back to the state.
Total sales for the CLC reached over $1.7 billion in the recently concluded Fiscal Year 2023, which saw more than $1.1 billion allocated to winning players and more than $412 million in profits, with $404 million being transferred to the state”™s General Fund. In the last five years alone, CLC returned over $1.9 billion to the state”™s General Fund.
Additionally, CLC contributed $3.3 million in FY23 to the state”™s Department of Mental Health and Addiction Service”™s Chronic Gamblers Treatment Rehabilitation, as well as $5.4 million to cover state regulatory costs. CLC also paid over $80 million in lottery retailer bonuses and commissions in FY23 to their network of about 2,900 predominantly small-to medium-size Connecticut businesses.
