County Executive-elect Rob Astorino on Thursday named the chairman of his transition team, Kevin Plunkett, as deputy county executive in his new administration.
Mount Pleasant Supervisor Robert Meehan was named county attorney.
Plunkett was a partner in the White Plains law firm of DelBello Donnellan Weingarten Wise & Wiederkehr L.L.P. He resigned after accepting the appointment by Astorino. Plunkett will replace Susan Tolchin and Meehan will replace Charlene Indelicato.
Plunkett, a Tarrytown native and a graduate of Archbishop Stepinac High School, earned his law degree from Stetson University School of Law in St. Petersburg, Fl. He then worked as assistant district attorney under Carl Vergari in the Westchester District Attorney”™s Office, working in the Felony Trial Bureau. He then joined his brother Bill at his private practice, Plunkett and Jaffe, where he concentrated on general litigation and governmental law matters.
He was a partner with the law firm Thacher Profitt and Wood L.L.P. before joining DelBello Donnellan Weingarten Wise & Wiederkehr.
Meehan ran unopposed for re-election in November.
Westchester County Board Of Legislators Chairman William J.
