While inflation is driving up prices in eateries across the country, Costco Wholesale has affirmed the price of its $1.50 giant hot dog and soda meal will not be changed.
MarketWatch reported that Costco Chief Financial Officer Richard Galanti stated during the company”™s fourth-quarter financial results call to analysts that the famous combo will stay at put, promising to “hold the price on the hot dog and the soda a little longer ”“ forever.”
The $1.50 for the hot dog and soda stands in contrast to the $6 average price for the same combo in a ballpark. If the Costco price were adjusted to meet current inflationary trends, the cost would be over $4.
