The city of White Plains and the White Plains Business Improvement District are partnering with Heineken USA for the “New Year. Safe Ride.” program, which will provide a free ride home from downtown White Plains for New Year”™s Eve revelers.
The program coincides with the White Plains Business Improvement District hosting the 15th annual White Plains New Year”™s Eve Spectacular. The celebration begins at 10 p.m. and will feature live music, a countdown and ball drop, confetti and a four-minute show by Zambelli Fireworks.
“The White Plains New Year”™s Eve Spectacular is the largest event in Westchester County and has become a fun and family-friendly tradition for our residents and residents throughout Westchester,” White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach said in a press release.
Attendees can use the ride-home program between 11 p.m. Dec. 31 and 3 a.m. Jan. 1. The car service station will be on the corner of East Post Road and Mamaroneck Avenue. A fleet of 25 cars will provide rides for those 21 and older traveling anywhere in White Plains and throughout Westchester County.

Safe Ride.”™ program is a cornerstone of our responsible consumption program,” said Stacey Tank, senior vice president and chief corporate relations officer for Heineken USA, based in White Plains. “Over the past 10 years, the program has provided free and safe rides home to more than 3,500 Westchester County residents of legal drinking age.”
