Pete’s, a family bar since 1937, turns the page

After 46 years tending bar, Phil Koutsis is expected to serve his last customer June 19, appropriately a Saturday night.

His bar, Pete”™s Park Place Tavern by the Metro-North train station in Bronxville, was started by his father, Pete Koutsis, in 1937. It will continue operating as is under the new ownership of John Lugano, who lives in the nearby Yonkers neighborhood of Lawrence Park West.
