Mexican restaurant Azteca Paradise has opened at a previously vacant building on Route 9A in Elmsford. The restaurant, owned in part by Yonkers restaurateur Jesus Aguilar, is located at 201 Saw Mill River Road near the Westchester Skating Academy, Sam’s Club and the Greenburgh Multiplex Cinemas.
Azteca Paradise opened July 4. The building had housed a restaurant that closed years ago.
Ben’s Deli, a kosher eatery, plans to open at 718 Central Park Ave. in Edgemont at the former site of Spiga Restaurant. Ben’s was granted approval from the town of Greenburgh Zoning Board Aug. 16.
In Scarsdale, Midway Wine & Liquors has opened at 973 Central Park Ave. in Scarsdale. The store’s grand opening was July 21 and featured Ben Flajnik, this season”™s star of ABC’s “The Bachelor” and owner of Envolve Wines, a Sonoma, Calif., vineyard. He gave a talk about wines and offered tastings of his wines. The 10,000-square-foot store has a VIP section.
And on Aug. 20, Gaucho Grill, an Argentinian and Italian steakhouse, opened in White Plains at 1 North Broadway. It serves steak and seafood with an Italian flair, as well as sandwiches, salads, pizza and pasta.
