Laguna, a restaurant featuring Northern Italian fare at 189 E. Post Road in downtown White Plains filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Aug. 17, permitting reorganization.

The restaurant opened in 1997 and operated as San Juliani L.L.C.

The general manager was Gregory Massimi.

“Laguna Restaurant is now under new management and will continue to render an experience in fine dining to its loyal patrons,” said Moses Rambarran, attorney at The Rambarran Law Firm in Hackensack, N.J. “In order to restructure existing debt of the prior regime and reorganize, Laguna has filed Chapter 11 proceedings to move forward as a profitable business entity.”

Rambarran said the establishment “will be operating as usual during this time of fiscal reorganization and support at this time of renewal is appreciated.”
At the time of filing, Laguna had an estimated 1 to 49 creditors, $500,000 to $1 million estimated assets and $1 million to $10 million estimated liabilities, according to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court”™s Southern District of New York.
