Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers CEO and founder Ronnie Dragoon and President Scott Singer recently held an event to celebrate the construction of the soon-to-open kosher delicatessen at 718 Central Park Ave. in Scarsdale. The restaurant will open its first Westchester location early next year, bringing a triad of delicatessen, catering services and a restaurant to the town.
Unlike the other Ben’s restaurants, this will be the first location with a second-story catering venue and the second location to have a full bar. The restaurateurs said they decided to bring Ben’s to Scarsdale because the demand for the kosher delicatessen and Eastern European comfort foods is growing.
“We really want our Scarsdale location to have a much broader appeal,” said Singer in a written statement. “With this Ben”™s, we”™re looking to evolve the traditional delicatessen of yesteryear into a more modern offering for today”™s busy consumers and families who want convenience, but don”™t want to sacrifice quality.”
The 5,700-square-foot restaurant will serve more daily specials on the menu than in other locations. While Ben’s broadens its menu, it will also keep its traditional Kosher deli. Ben’s operates in six other locations, including three on Long Island and one in Manhattan, Queens and Boca Raton, Fla.
