The Fez, a Stamford restaurant that offers a mix of North African, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine along with live entertainment, announced that it will be closing on Dec. 30.
The restaurant opened in 2010 at 227 Summer St. and offered a blending of traditional and modernized cuisines, with a focus on Moroccan, Turkish and Lebanese offerings. In an online message, owners Nancy and Fred Laist stated that “the time has come to pursue other endeavors and devote more time to our family.”
The restaurant had live music and belly dancing as well as an artist in residence program.
