The Gas Light Ale House, a contemporary American restaurant, is scheduled to open this fall where the bankrupt Pier View once stood at the Yonkers waterfront.
Directly across from Peter Kelly”™s Xaviars X2O at 1 Van Der Donck St., the restaurant will operate under Westside Hospitality Group and will be managed by Yonkers native and restaurateur Nicky Sarro.
“They”™re undergoing renovations right now and are waiting on a liquor license,” said Gerry Houlihan of Houlihan & O”™Malley Real Estate Services in Bronxville, exclusive broker for both landlord and tenant. “The lease is signed and executed.”
The restaurant will open when renovations are completed, Sarro said.
The landlord of the property, Dwight Collins of Collins Enterprises L.L.C., said, “Westside Hospitality will complement the Yonkers waterfront perfectly with a moderate priced menu and years of successful restaurant experience.”
Westside Hospitality Group owns and manages multiple locations in Manhattan and Westchester County.
The Pier View Restaurant Bar & Lounge was owned and operated by brothers Thomas and Tim Philp and Brian Martin; it was part of Yonkers Pioneer Group Inc., which filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy this March.
The trio opened the restaurant in the 3,900-square-foot space in September 2004.
