Former Business Council of Westchester chairman and commercial real estate broker Christopher B. O”™Callaghan has joined the Stamford, Conn. office of Jones Lang LaSalle as a managing director. The office covers the Fairfield County and Westchester County markets.
Covering the Westchester real estate market for 27 years, O”™Callaghan most recently was a senior director in the Rye Brook office of Cushman & Wakefield Inc. which he joined in 2005. Prior to that, he was senior vice president at Stamford-based Albert B. Ashforth Co.
Representing numerous clients across a range of industries in both Westchester and Fairfield counties, O”™Callaghan in 2005 received the Westchester Deal of the Year award from the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) for brokering a 52,960-square-foot lease for Triarc Beverage Group at 800 Westchester Ave. in Rye Brook.
Other notable deals of his include the $46 million sale of the former Texaco corporate headquarters in Purchase to Morgan Stanley, and the leasing of 135,000 square feet at 900 King St. in Rye Brook to Cadbury Beverages America.
O”™Callaghan”™s aggregate lease and sale transactions are valued at $750 million and involve more than 17 million square feet of commercial space, according to Jones Lang LaSalle.
A Rye resident, O”™Callaghan has served on the boards of NAIOP, Food Bank of Westchester, American Red Cross, Greenwich Hospital and United Hospital Medical Center. He also served on the former advisory board of the Westchester County Business Journal. He is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association.
