The Young Professionals Network of Fairfield County will host its next networking event Jan. 22 at AmeriCares’ Â Stamford warehouse.
At the event, AmeriCares will give a behind-the-scenes look at how the humanitarian aid organization responds to global disasters such as Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines in November.
Following the typhoon, AmeriCares responded with more than $7.1 million in emergency aid to execute relief deliveries, address medicine shortages and restore primary health care.
Event speakers will include emergency responders ”“ typically young professionals ”“ who have recently returned from the disaster zone.
