XPO takes on Turbo Logistics

For $50 million, XPO Logistics Inc. acquired Turbo Logistics Inc., the freight brokerage division of Ozburn-Hessey Logistics L.L.C.

Greenwich-based XPO provides freight services through Express-1 and Concert Group Logistics. Ozburn-Hessey is based in Brentwood, Tenn.

Founded in 1984, Turbo Logistics has 170 employees today and generated $124 million in revenue for the 12-month period ending in September. The company has locations in Gainesville, Ga., Chicago, Dallas and Reno, Nev.
