WorldQuest, the Stamford-based World Affairs Forum’s signature event will be held March 26 at the Italian Center in Stamford.
The cost of the event is $80, which includes dinner and the game. A cash bar will be available during the evening; festivities begin at 6 p.m. The public is invited and those without a team will be organized into teams of 10.
This is the event’s 14th incarnation.
Tables compete for “medals” by correctly answering questions on current events and international affairs. David Smith, host of Cablevision’s “Meet the Leaders,” is game master of ceremonies.
A highlight of the evening will be the raffle drawing for a $1,000 Amazon.com gift certificate. There will also be other raffle prizes and a silent auction. WorldQuest proceeds support the programs of the World Affairs Forum, which dates to 1946, “a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to expanding understanding of global affairs and America”™s role in the world.” The forum is affiliated with the World Affairs Councils of America.
The reservation deadline is March 20. Call the forum office at (203) 356-0340 for reservations or to obtain additional information. Raffle tickets for the Amazon.com gift card can be purchased for $20 by calling the same number. A person need not be present to win.
