Wilton’s Coffee Barn closing Aug. 1

Coffee Barn, a Wilton mainstay since 2012 that once was featured in Vogue magazine, is closing on Aug. 1.

Owner Karen McArdle Piazza said she is moving to join family in Naples, Florida. No immediate plans for the future of the business at 392 Danbury Road have been announced.

In 2016, Vogue included Coffee Barn in an article titled “‘Gilmore Girls’ Guide to Connecticut,” noting “its cozy, community atmosphere” that it compared favorably with that television program”™s Luke”™s Diner.

In addition to fresh-brewed coffees and teas, the business sells pastries and sandwiches.
