It’s official: The University of Connecticut will be offering a new undergraduate degree in financial management next fall at its Stamford campus.
“The Fairfield County business community has frequently expressed a strong desire for the university to initiate such a program,” said UConn School of Business Dean John Elliott in a press release. “Development of the major was both an important and a welcome task.”
The major, which is a part of a broader initiative to expand the Stamford campus, is intended to help students start successful careers in corporate financial management and analysis, investments and portfolio management.
The first financial management graduating class will graduate in 2017.
