Town Fair Tire, a tire franchise based in East Haven, was named 2012 retailer of the year by the Connecticut Retail Merchants Association (CRMA).
Town Fair Tire, which was founded in 1967 in Fairfield, opened its 85th store last year. The company has locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
CRMA determines the winner of its retailer of the year award through a peer nomination and review process. CRMA will present the award to Town Fair Tire at its annual awards luncheon in Hartford Nov. 14.
“They are a great Connecticut retailer and have achieved tremendous success by consistently working at giving their customers the best shopping experience along with outstanding value and first rate customer service,” said Tim Phelan, CRMA president, in a statement.
