The state of Connecticut is requesting proposals to replace its current self-insured prescription drug benefits plan for its active and retired employees.
The state’s current contract, which includes pharmacy benefits through Anthem and United Healthcare,  expires June 30.
The state intends to retain, under the most favorable financial terms, all of its current plan’s benefits, which were determined through collective bargaining with its employees, according to a state document through the Office of State Comptroller.
Proposals are tentatively due Feb. 4 and will be selected March. 1
