A St. Louis private equity firm, Thompson Street Capital Partners, recently acquired Stamford-based FocusVision Worldwide Inc., a provider of online video transmission and analysis services with satellite offices in London and Singapore.
The deal was brokered by Abacus Finance Group L.L.C., which served as administrative agent and sole lead arranger for $23 million in senior secured credit facilities to support the acquisition.
FocusVision, founded in 1990, has about 100 employees and specializes in the delivery of Web-streaming audio and video for global research organizations, among other services and clients. A statement released by Abacus, which is based in New York City, did not disclose what role FocusVision’s current management would have with the company once the deal is finalized.
Abacus staff involved in the transaction included Sean McKeever and Song Pettus. The specialty finance firm was represented by Goulston & Storrs L.L.P. as legal counsel.
