Nestlé Waters revenue rose nearly 3 percent in the first half of 2015 to $3.85 billion, with organic growth topping 5 percent for sales of existing products.
Nestlé Waters contributed operating profits of $445 million to its Swiss parent company Nestlé Group, a 14 percent increase from the first half of 2014.
In its semiannual report released Thursday, Nestlé said its Poland Spring bottled water made “good contributions” in the United States without providing specific numbers.
Across all geographies, Nestlé Pure Life bottled water produced double digit growth internationally, helping push Nestlé Waters to growth in the “mid-single” digits in the words of Nestlé Group.
Last week, 100 people were evacuated from a Poland Spring plant in Maine after an ammonia leak, with two workers treated at an area hospital according to the Portland Press Herald. The company stated the incident had no impact on the safety of the bottled water it produces.
