A prescription-data study has found that time spent online at Westport-based dLife.com correlates directly with diabetic medication intake and proper drug management practices.
DLife is an online diabetic information resource and media company with specific content focused on those suffering from the disease.
The study, conducted by Crossix Solution, a pharmaceutical analytical company in New York City, released the study analyzing patient-level prescription data. The study includes in it findings that specifically dLife.com consumers take immediate and deeper action in treating their diabetes and co-morbid conditions after becoming engaged with the companies online presence. The study also finds dLife users test their blood sugar and take medications at a higher rate than non-dLife users.
Howard Steinberg, CEO, diabetic and founder of dLife, said many diabetics know they should be doing more, but simply don”™t without some type of support.
“More aggressive therapeutic management of diabetes and co-morbid conditions is often as simple as lifestyle adjustments,” said Steinberg.
