The Stamford Innovation Center at 175 Atlantic St. in the former Town Hall is offering a coding class after which “coding will no longer be a mystery.”
The class lasts 12 weeks with two classes per week, Monday and Thursday nights, starting May 19.
Those who complete the regimen will be versed in the design of functional websites with multiple pages and different basic applications.
They will also understand and apply the principles of object-oriented programming, which the SIC identifies as the “type of programming that is used in almost every single application today,” and understand the basics for programming in languages including Java, HTML, CSS, Basic, DOS, Basic Linux and Basic JavaScript.
The class will include basic coding and also involve the development of basic games.
