SCORE Fairfield County has appointed strategy consultant Tom Shimko as co-Chair of its chapter.
A seasoned marketing and business strategist with more than 20 years of leadership experience, Shimko brings a wealth of expertise and a deep commitment to supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Fairfield County community. The chapter is part of the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors and a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
“I’m honored to step into this leadership role,” Shimko said. “SCORE’s mission of mentoring small businesses aligns perfectly with my passion for helping organizations realize their potential. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated volunteers to continue driving meaningful impact in Fairfield County.”
Since joining SCORE as a volunteer and mentor, Shimko has provided guidance to a diverse range of clients, including growth-focused entrepreneurs and AI start-ups.
In addition to his role at SCORE, he leads Shimko1to1, a strategy consulting firm dedicated to helping organizations grow through improved customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. A Wilton resident, he also serves as vice chairman of the Wilton Economic Development Commission.
His professional career includes founding and leading the global consulting division at Peppers & Rogers Group, and holding senior marketing roles at Pitney Bowes, GE Capital, AIG, and Prudential.
SCORE Co-Chair Ashwini “Ash” Bhaskar looks forward to leading the chapter with Shimko.
“Tom’s extensive experience spans strategic planning, management consulting, customer experience, and market development, equipping him with the tools to effectively guide SCORE Fairfield County’s initiatives,” Bhaskar said.
