The Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury is in the process of a multimillion-dollar renovation to give its facilities a more modern and elegant look.
The hotel, which is owned by the interior-design retail company Ethan Allen Global Inc., will be redesigning the hotel’s front and rear lobbies, ballrooms, corridors, guest rooms and restaurant.
“This renovation allows our clients greater opportunity to design the grand ballroom as they would like for their meetings, weddings, and other special events,” said  Janice Perna-Nicholas, the hotel’s general manager, in a release. “Its neutral color palette provides the perfect backdrop for every look””from classic and conservative to modern and colorful.”
The Danbury-based retailer built the 193-room hotel  in 1974 and its last renovation was in 2002.  The current renovation is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
