Mark A. Thompson of Cheshire was recently promoted to executive vice president/provost at Quinnipiac University. Previously, Thompson was senior vice president for academic and student affairs at Quinnipiac and before that, he was dean of the school of business. Thompson has a bachelor”™s degree in economics/finance from Bentley College, an MBA from Western New England University and a doctorate in economics from Georgia State University.
Michael S. Rosten was recently elected Operation Hope”™s board chairman for the 2013 fiscal year of the Fairfield-based nonprofit organization. Rosten has served as an Operation Hope board member for the past four years and has represented Operation Hope in a professional volunteer capacity for 18 years in the acquisition and development of the agency”™s affordable housing portfolio. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College and a Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell University.
