GVA Williams has named Deirdre Corcoran Foote to the position of senior vice president. Corcoran Foote has more than four years of commercial real estate experience throughout Connecticut.
“I”™m psyched,” said Corcoran Foote. “GVA has been a very supportive place. It”™s been great coming from the large-scale fashion industry to real estate and they”™ve really been supportive of me being a working mother.”
Corcoran Foote is part of the Retail Leasing Division representing retailers and landlords in disposition and acquisition. Her clients include such retailers as French Soles, Wireless Zone, Palm Beach Tan, HSBC and Cosi. She joined GVA in 2004.
“The market itself has been a bit slow, though there”™s been a lot of activity from Europe,” said Corcoran Foote. “We”™ve been able to make some sales and buck the trend but we are waiting for the market to turn around.”
Corcoran Foote concentrates primarily on business in Fairfield County, with the ability to service a wider geographic area via a network of offices with a focus on fashion and high-end retail, fashion and restaurants.
"Deirdre”™s previous in-house marketing experience at places such as Coach and Ann Taylor allows her to provide our clients with a perspective that is invaluable,” said Cory Gubner, president and CEO of GVA Williams of Connecticut.
Prior to joining GVA Williams, Corcoran Foote worked for Coach, Mark Cross, Episode International and Ann Taylor.
Corcoran Foote has lived in Old Greenwich for 12 years with her husband of 18 years, and her two children.
"Commercial real-estate in Fairfield County attracts many entrepreneurs with new, exciting business ideas,” said Corcoran Foote. “I feel lucky to be a part of their decision-making process. It is always rewarding to guide a brand to the right location where they can be profitable."
