Westport-based The Mitchells Family of Stores has acquired the Long Island, N.Y., company Thomas Miller Menswear.
Thomas Miller was founded 33 years ago in Woodbury, N.Y.
“By merging with The Mitchells Family of Stores, we are not only assuring that our many loyal customers will continue to enjoy those values to the highest degree, but we are uniting with very good friends,” Thomas Miller, founder of Thomas Miller Menswear.
The details of the acquisition were not disclosed. A core group of the store”™s sales associates, along with the store”™s inventory, will move to Marshs, another Mitchells owned store location, in nearby Huntington, N.Y. ?Thomas Miller joins The Mitchells stores comprised of Mitchells in Westport, Richards in Greenwich, Marshs in Huntington and Wilkes Bashford in San Francisco and Palo Alto, Calif.?“It is with great pride that we announce the merger with Thomas Miller Menswear,” said Jack Mitchell, CEO of Mitchells Family of Stores. “As with all of our establishments, Thomas Miller represents a decades-long commitment to family ownership, personalized service, the finest designer labels, and multigenerational relationships with customers based on years of trust.”
