SHELTON – The newly named Masonicare at Bishop Wicke Health Center is holding a virtual job fair Tuesday, Feb. 25 and Wednesday, Feb. 26 as its new parent company rolls out its merger that was effective Jan. 2.
Wallingford-based Masonicare, marked its expansion last month as it completed the acquisition of Atria Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill and merger with United Methodist Homes, the former parent company of communities in Shelton, Farmington, and Newington.
The virtual hiring event will take place from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. for jobs as Masonicare at Bishop Wicke Health Center.
The merger positioned United Methodist Homes, 150-year-old organization, under the Masonicare brand, which has been around for 130 years.
David Lawlor, president and CEO of United Methodist Homes, thought the merger would benefit their senior living residents.
“Our alignment with Masonicare is an exciting opportunity to extend our mission and ensure that our residents benefit from both UMH and Masonicare’s renowned expertise in senior living and healthcare services,” Lawlor said.
Current openings at Bishop Wicke include CNAs (day, evening, and night shifts), LPNs (evening and night shifts), RNs (day, evening, and night shifts), and RN supervisor (day shift).
