Commercial real estate firm Colliers International has landed two veterans from CBRE Group Inc. to help lead a market expansion into Westchester County and Connecticut.
After 18 years at CBRE ”“ serving in a variety of executive roles in Stamford ”“ Al Gutierrez will join Colliers”™ Connecticut operations as executive managing director. Ian Ceppos, who has worked with Gutierrez for the last seven years at CBRE, will also join the team as a senior managing director on the brokerage side.
The two men have brokered transactions totaling more than 5 million square feet for companies such as SL Green Realty Corp., Forest City Ratner, Scarsdale Medical Group, Northwestern Mutual, Alliance Bernstein, The Jones Group, Morgan Stanley, National Economic Research Associates Inc. and Smith Barney.
Gutierrez and Ceppos also secured 1111 Westchester Ave. as temporary headquarters for PepsiCo Inc. during the company”™s approximately $240 million overhaul of its headquarters complex on Anderson Hill Road in Purchase.
The two brokers have negotiated more than 200,000 square feet of medical and health care-related leases. Colliers plans to focus heavily on health care facilities in its regional expansion.
