Following the February blizzard and gun-control debates, job approval ratings for Gov. Dannel P. Malloy have reached their highest point yet, according to a recent poll.
Roughly 48 percent of survey respondents approve of his work overall, while 39 percent disapprove, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released March 12.
Forty-eight percent also approve of the governor’s handling of gun policy, while 39 percent disapprove. About 80 percent approved of his response to the blizzard. For comparison, 78 percent approved of his Hurricane Sandy response.
The survey polled 1,144 registered voters between March 7 and March 10.
