L.L. Bean will be opening a new store at the Danbury Fair Mall July 13.
During its three-day grand opening, the store will be giving away $500 gift cards to the first 200 customers on July 13, five kayak packages on the 14th and 100 tote bags on the 15th.
“Northern Fairfield County offers abundant outdoor recreational opportunities,” said Ken Kacere, senior vice president and retail general manager, in a written statement. “We want to make sure L.L. Bean customers are outfitted with the appropriate apparel, gear and knowledge for their next adventure.”
Celebrating its 100th anniversary, L.L. Bean Inc. has donated nearly $3 million this year to encourage young people and families to participate in outdoor recreation. During the Danbury store’s grand opening, there will be free workshops on navigation, fly tying and knot tying, as well as free animal activities presented by the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium and the Connecticut Audubon Society.
The new store is the retailer’s second in Connecticut and its 18th retail store outside of Maine.
