An annual Northeast innovation conference is scheduled for Nov. 1 in New Haven, and will include awards for companies with the most promising offerings in technology, software, new media, life sciences and green technology.
Innovation Summit organizers are the Connecticut Technology Council, the Crossroads Venture Group and the new Connecticut Innovation Ecosystem, formed by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy. Sponsors include Cantor Colburn L.L.P., the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology, Dickstein Shapiro L.L.P., and First Niagara Financial Group Inc.
The conference is expected to attract angels and venture investors from the region who will be in attendance to hear companies”™ elevator pitches and to meet them during a “poster fair” portion of the evening.
Companies must have annual revenue below $3 million to participate. Space is limited to between 60 and 75 startups. The application deadline is Sept. 21; information is available at www.ct.org.
The Crossroads Venture Group separately is holding a “Marketing at the Speed of Light” seminar Sept. 13 at the University of Connecticut Stamford, with additional information not immediately available.
