Pinkberry will open its first Connecticut doors in Fairfield this September.
“We know Pinkberry will do very well in Fairfield and we could not have selected a better partner than Jamie Karson to help us launch there,” said Ron Graves, CEO of Pinkberry.
Karson is the former Chairman and CEO of upscale shoes and accessories company Steve Madden.
“Jamie possesses incredible business acumen and a commitment to outstanding customer service, said Graves.
The location at 1512 Post Road, adjacent to Colony Grill and across from Borders, marks the arrival of the first Pinkberry in the state.
“The whole key is volume,” New York City retail analyst Howard Davidowitz said. “It”™s how you can position yourself to get footsteps and it”™s all about location, location, location.”
According to David Firestein, president and senior managing partner of Northwest Atlantic Real Estate Services in White Plains, Los Angeles-based Pinkberry is part of the trading of national franchises that is done between the East Coast and West Coast.
“Some start there and go here; others start here and go there,” said Firestein. “The markets are similar, and that dynamic works well.”
In the natural frozen yogurt sphere, Pinkberry and Red Mango, national chains, have both set up locations in neighbouring Westchester County, N.Y., this past year.
