Splurging on junior
Greenwich-based gift boutique Splurge has opened a second store in town focused on a younger demographic.
Splurge Kids opened Sept. 1 on the main floor of a converted Victorian house at 60 Lewis St. across the street from its parent store. It sells gifts, party supplies and room décor for babies and children through 8 years of age.
Owner Sonia Sotire Malloy opened the original store in 2007 and last year moved to an expanded location at 39 Lewis St.

Vineyard Vines grows
Brothers Shep and Ian Murray, CEOs and co-founders of Vineyard Vines in Stamford, said they will open five stores this fall.
The manufacturers and retailers of semi-casual coastal New England apparel styles are planning their newest locations in Hingham, Mass.; Plano, Texas; Richmond, Va.; Short Hills, N.J. and Newport Beach, Calif. The Newport Beach location will be the company”™s first West Coast presence.
Vineyard Vines has 15 stores and its products are sold in more than 600 specialty and department stores.
Print partnership
LogicSource of Norwalk has entered into a five-year agreement with arts and crafts retailer Michaels Stores to manage its printing and print-related costs and services.
LogicSource, which is owned by Bain Capital Ventures of Boston, said it expects to save the Irving, Texas-based retailer $250 million over the life of the contract. LogicSource said it conducted an analysis of Michaels”™s entire print production system to identify potential cost savings and operational enhancements.
Michaels Stores has more than 1,030 stores in 49 states and Canada, as well as more than 140 Aaron Brothers stores, and produces 10 exclusive private brands.
