Hexcel recovers from twisters

Maclaren recall updated
Norwalk-based Maclaren USA Inc. has updated the status of its November 2009 voluntary recall of a hinge mechanism on its umbrella strollers.
The strollers were recalled when they were found to present a potential hazard to children when opening or closing. Maclaren has since offered a free kit to cover the elbow joint on the stroller”™s hinge mechanism, to avoid the potential danger. More than 300,000 consumers have been supplied with free hinge covers in the past 18 months.
The company said it will continue to offer the covers to any consumers who bought the old-style hinge strollers prior to 2010 upon request.
