Henkel Consumer Goods Inc., the Rocky Hill subsidiary of Henkel AG & Co. KGaA in Germany, has completed its acquisition of Wilton-based laundry and homecare company The Sun Products Corp. for $3.6 billion, including debt.
The deal ”“ first announced in June ”“ will make Henkel the second-largest company in the North American laundry care market, behind Cincinnati-based Procter & Gamble.

Among the brands being added to Henkel are Sun, All and Snuggle.
