Both its reach and its shelf space are on the upswing for Green Earth Technologies.
The Stamford-based company, a manufacturer and marketer of environmentally safe consumer goods and products, is expanding and adding auto parts giant Pep Boys to its distribution portfolio.
Green Planet Products of Schenectady, N.Y., will distribute Green Earth”™s products as part of the expansion. Under the agreement, Green Planet Products will be the bulk distributor of the full line of Green Earth”™s “G”-branded products in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, penetrating various market segments such as automotive manufacturers, car rentals, municipalities, schools and hospitals.
The G products are all recyclable, renewable and biodegradable. The products include G-Oil, one of the world’s first bio-based motor oils. G-Oil is made with American-grown renewable animal fats. Other products are G-Wash car wash cleaner and G-Clean an organic glass cleaner.
Green Planet Products is an affiliated company of the Galesi Group, which has bulk infrastructure facilities as well as truck and rail systems already in position in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
“We are delighted to sign a long term deal with GPP, allowing us to supply and support large users with GET products, seamlessly flowing into new markets through existing channels,” said Jeff Marshall, chairman and CEO of Green Earth Technologies. “We have been building our brand to reach large bulk users over the last year and this new deal is a huge milestone for our company.”
