Gartner Inc. renewed its headquarters lease on Top Gallant Rd. in Stamford, after landlord Soundview Farms agreed to undertake $25 million in renovations.
The company provides research on information technology trends and products, earning $83 million last year on $1.1 billion in revenue. Gartner has 4,300 employees worldwide.
The renewal had been expected, after Gartner accepted a package of state aid last year that includes incentives for building improvements and adding more than 300 jobs in Connecticut. At last report, the company had 690 employees at its Stamford headquarters, and another 150 at other locations in Fairfield County.
Under its new contract, Gartner has the option to renew the lease to cover a 15-year period, and the option to purchase the building at fair market value.
