Fairfield University named Donald E. Gibson as the new dean of its Charles G. Dolan School of Business.
Gibson, the interim dean of the business school for nearly two years, has been a faculty member at the university for 12 years as a management professor and leading researcher in the field of organizational behavior.
“I look forward to leading the Dolan School of Business toward our goal of educating students to be ethical business leaders for a global future,” Gibson said in a press release. “Working with this community, along with our staff, alumni, and business community, I seek to raise the profile of the Dolan School of Business to be recognized among the ranks of the best business schools.”
Before coming to Fairfield University, Gibson was an associate professor of organizational behavior at the Yale School of Management. He earned his Masters of Business Administration and doctorate at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research has focused on organizational role models, anger and aggression in the workplace, and individual emotional management in organizations.
