Three babies born at hospitals in Bridgeport, Greenwich and Stamford were the first births of 2025.
Lucca Pulla was the first baby born in 2025 at an area hospital. He entered the world at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1 at Greenwich Hospital.
He is the son and second child for Jessenia Illisaca and Alex Pulla of Stamford. The baby boy weighed 7 pounds, 13.9 ounces.
Two hours later, Phoniex Marrero was the first baby born on Jan. 1 at Bridgeport Hospital. She is the daughter of Judith Marrero of Bridgeport. She weighs 8 pounds, 3 ounces and is 22 inches. She joins siblings 5-year-old Nikolai and 4-year-old Blanca.
At Stamford Hospital at 5:44 a.m. Lily Rose was the first baby born there. She weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches.
Greenwich Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital are members of Yale New Haven Health. Stamford Hospital is operated by Stamford Health Inc. and is affiliated with the New York Presbyterian Health System.
