The Greater Norwalk, Fairfield, Stamford and Greater Valley chambers of commerce will offer a fully escorted tour this fall of Tuscany, Italy, which the chambers described in a press release as “the place where movies are filmed and fantasies run wild.”
There will be a presentation and question-and-answer meeting for anyone interested at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 23, at the Delamar Southport hotel.
“Emerging as a real business center, Tuscany is home to thriving businesses in the furniture, leather, fashion and manufacturing industries,” the chambers said. “These businesses keep the region in the 21st century while the people and culture keep one foot in the past.”
“This is truly an amazing opportunity to discover all that Tuscany has to offer,” said Ed Musante, president and CEO of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, in the press release. “Tuscany is what many people around the world envision as a true representation of Italy. We will take it all in as all four chambers of commerce bring the dream of traveling to Tuscany to life.”
Musante said this is the Norwalk chamber”™s sixth trip abroad, “but our first with the Stamford, Fairfield and Greater Valley chambers.” Previous Norwalk chamber trips were to China, Egypt, the imperial cities of central Europe, South Africa, Spain and Portugal.
The trip is scheduled for Oct. 14-22. For more information, contact Musante at 203-866-2521.
