The ESA Ephemera Fair will mark its 45th edition at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Old Greenwich from Saturday, March 15, to Sunday, March 16, according to the event management company Sanford L. Smith + Associates.
The ESA Ephemera Fair will feature more than 10,000 items, including advertisements, baseball cards, rare maps, playbills, banknotes, sheet music, luggage tags, wood engravings, and more—spanning centuries of history and culture. Prices for items can range from $10 for entry-level collectors to multi-million-dollar rarities.
“We’re thrilled to kick off Ephemera 45,” Michael Peich, vice president of The Ephemera Society of America. “This year’s fair offers something for everyone, blending a mix of longtime returning dealers and exciting newcomers. Themed ‘Invention and Innovation,’ the fair provides a unique opportunity to delve into the profound impact of ephemera on our day-to-day lives and offers an excellent introduction to ESA membership.”
Ephemera, defined by Oxford Reference as “items of collectible memorabilia typically written or printed and originally intended for short-term use,” captures the fleeting essence of human creativity and history.
As the largest ephemera event in the U.S., the fair will welcome more than 60 exhibitors from across the country, including celebrated participants such as Evie Eysenburg Ephemera, aGatherin’, and Stephen Resnick. While many exhibitors have been part of the fair since its inception, the event continues to draw new dealers, ensuring fresh perspectives and diverse offerings year after year.
The ESA Ephemera Fair has been a cultural cornerstone for over four decades, drawing collectors and enthusiasts from across New England, New York, and beyond.
