A new putting aid, created by Weston resident Robin Austin, was selected as the “Best New Product” at the 55th Annual PGA Merchandise Show recently held in Orlando, Fla.
Austin”™s EEZ-READ was selected from nearly 400 products introduced at the annual trade convention, which attracted nearly 45,000 professionals, industry leaders, retailers, manufacturers and media from 90 countries.
“Throughout the show, we received overwhelmingly positive response from PGA professionals and retailers and winning the Best New Product award has capped a great show for us,” said Austin, founder and CEO of EEZ-READ.
The product is designed to build putting confidence with a “bubble level” attached to a watchmaker”™s grade stainless steel disc. The lightweight pocket size tool allows for a quick read of a green”™s contours. According its inventor, the EEZ-REED works best on putts within 20 feet of the hole.
“Sinking a putt is one of the most satisfying aspects of the game of golf,” said Austin. “And EEZ-READ helps golfers make more putts by reading subtle breaks in the green.”
Austin, a marketing innovator for Fortune 500 companies, conceived the EEZ-READ after watching some PGA Tour caddies study the breaks on the greens during a practice round. He remembers one caddy actually carried a large contractor”™s level to discern the more subtle breaks on each green.
EEZ-READ, distributed by Momentus Golf, has achieved endorsement from renowned golf instructor Butch Harmon and entrance into his signature series line.
