The business connection site LinkedIn has named Fairfield University”™s Charles F. Dolan School of Business among the country”™s best schools for landing accounting jobs.
Dolan place No. 7 of 25 institutions. The ranking is part of a new LinkedIn option designed “to help students decide where to attend college and how to make career decisions,” according to a Fairfield University statement.
Rankings were based on how successful recent graduates have been at landing what LinkedIn termed “desirable jobs.”
The LinkedIn blog said, “By analyzing employment patterns of over 300 million LinkedIn members from around the world, we figured out what the desirable jobs are within several professions and which graduates get those desirable jobs. As a result, we are able to rank schools based on the career outcomes of their graduates.”
LinkedIn cited four companies where Fairfield accounting alumni work: PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, Deloitte and KPMG U.S.
The LinkedIn accolade follows the Dolan School”™s inclusion on other lists. It was ranked among the best undergraduate and graduate business programs by Bloomberg BusinessWeek, U.S. News & World Report and Princeton Review.
