New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy issued a joint statement yesterday pledging to work together to fight for federal aid in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
“When one of us suffers from a tragic event like Sandy, we all suffer,” Cuomo and Malloy said in their statement. “We have a responsibility as a region to push for federal investment, so that we can both get residents”™ lives back to normal as quickly as possible following the storm.”
Combined, the two represent 23 million people.
