Beginning in late November, ConnectiCare members will have access to new CliniSanitas Medical Centers in Bridgeport, Newington and Orange as part of a joint effort focusing on the state’s growing Hispanic population.
The centers will offer primary care, specialty care, urgent care, walk-in care, laboratory and diagnostic imaging services, health education and wellness services. All will offer extended evening and weekend hours and the staff will speak both English and Spanish.
ConnectiCare is the only health insurance plan being accepted by the CliniSanitas Medical Centers, which will also serve those paying directly for health care services.
“Members want to discuss their health and receive care in their preferred language, at times and locations that are convenient for them, said ConnectiCare President and CEO Michael Wise. “CliniSanitas has a proven track record of successfully serving a diverse population through an integrated care model and we are pleased to partner with them to make this kind of care a reality for ConnectiCare members.”
“These new medical centers will build on our successful centers in Miami, Fla., and more than 40 years of experience providing quality care in South America,” said CliniSanitas CEO Dr. Fernando Fonseca. “We have designed our patient experience to serve the diverse needs of the Connecticut community and address cultural and language barriers that impact the quality of care they receive.”
