The free Connecticut Business Expo is scheduled for Thursday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.
Some 4,000 people attended last year”™s expo ”“ nearly six in 10 of them business owners or senior managers ”“Â and organizers expect 6,000 people to attend this year.
Locally based exhibitors this year include Bridgeport-based People”™s United Financial Inc. and Norwalk-based Xerox Corp.
Federal and state agencies will be on hand to advise businesses on available programs and incentives, to include an ongoing “matchmaker” session to pair up companies interested in pursuing contracts.
The schedule includes keynotes from author Mike Michalowicz and Daymond John, the CEO of FUBU clothing who has appeared on the ABC show “Shark Tank.”
The conference concludes with a networking session from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the convention center atrium.
