Spinnaker, Forstone receive award
Connecticut Main Street Center recognized Spinnaker Real Estate Partners and Forstone Capital for their rehabilitation of 777 Main St. in Bridgeport, now an office leased by The Annie E. Casey Foundation, which has 45 employees there.
Hartford-based CMSC issued 10 awards in all for excellence to various communities and landlords throughout Connecticut.
Built in the early 1900s, 777 Main St. is a series of buildings that were combined over the years into a single building. Years of neglect left the building with a number of physical issues that the project needed to address. The renovation and restoration included improving the façade, installing new windows, mechanical systems, drainage and paving in the rear parking lot, and a complete renovation of the interior.
“We are proud of this building and appreciate that Connecticut Main Street Center has recognized our effort to bring this building back to life,” said Clayton Fowler, CEO of Spinnaker Real Estate Partners, in a statement. “This property exemplifies our commitment to both historic preservation and urban redevelopment.”
