In an unusual instance of a financial company relocating east out of Fairfield County, investment bank Cronus Partners L.L.C. has moved its Norwalk operations to New Haven, while opening an additional office in Boston to give it better access to Massachusetts technology companies.
“Our relocation to New Haven reflects the fact that many of our clients in Connecticut are located between Hartford and New Haven rather than around Stamford,” Jeffrey Rubin, managing director of Cronus, said in a prepared statement. “We are better situated not only to serve them but also to support Boston from New Haven.”
Cosmetics company Elizabeth Arden Inc. renewed its lease at 200 First Stamford Place, taking 50,000 square feet for 12 years.
In a prepared statement, the New York City-based company”™s head of design and construction James Cantela said Elizabeth Arden considered other locations in Fairfield County and Westchester County, N.Y., but in the end was again attracted to First Stamford Place. Elizabeth Arden has renewed its lease at the Stamford building three times since first taking occupancy in 1999.
First Stamford Place is owned by New York City-based Malkin Properties Inc.

Silver Point Capital L.P. renewed a lease for nearly 11,000 square feet of space at 660 Steamboat Road in Greenwich, a waterfront building dubbed The Anchorage.
Jones Lang LaSalle represented the hedge fund in lease negotiations, while Newmark Knight Frank represented the building”™s management group Steamboat Road Associates L.L.C. Some 16,000 square feet of space remain available in the building, which has 32,500 square feet of space total on four floors. Other tenants include Blue Harbour Group, Withers Bergman, and Titan Worldwide.

Harvey Industries Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of windows, siding, doors and other building products, signed a 10-year lease for 40,000 square feet of space at 47-53 Old Ridgebury Road in Danbury, once a DHL location.
CB Richard Ellis brokered the deal on behalf of both Waltham, Mass.-based Harvey Industries and the building”™s owner, an entity called 155 John Street L.L.C.
