Connect Computer, a Fairfield-based information technology firm serving small businesses and larger enterprises since 1985, has been selected to provide managed services solutions that support the IT network of the Stamford Innovation Center. The center, in the old Town Hall, supports a diverse community of small business owners, freelancers, innovators and entrepreneurs with resources, including classes, events and workspace.
We are proud to be providing the center”™s managed services, which we know will help its efforts to sponsor innovation and collaboration using a solid and well-supported IT foundation.
The Stamford Innovation Center”™s mission of encouraging the growth of a vibrant tech and startup economy in the Fairfield County region fits perfectly with Connect Computer”™s mission. Connect Computer provides Connecticut businesses with customer service, personalized IT solutions and leading-edge technology made simple.
Peter Propp, chief marketing officer of the SIC, said, “The companies that work at the center are creating interesting new endeavors that will impact the future of the state of Connecticut. We”™re delighted to have Connect Computer as an important partner delivering high-quality access to the Internet and other networking services. They”™re helping us support the growth of these companies by removing some of the infrastructure requirements to running or starting a modern business.”
Connect Computer also has become the newest sponsor of the center, joining sponsors that include Sikorsky, Pitney Bowes, Connecticut Innovations, Shipman & Goodwin, McCarter & English and Robinson & Cole.
We love the center”™s mission of helping foster communications between small business owners, consultants, designers, entrepreneurs and technical professionals. Yes, we”™re an IT firm, but we”™re also a company that is grounded in communicating skillfully. We believe all the technology in the world is of little use if the people using it don”™t understand how it can best be used to forward their business or organizational needs. We”™re looking forward to helping the center and the many businesses and individuals looking to it for leadership in the technology space.
